Support Flash Lite Devices //

I am very please to see the now accurate supported device list. I wonder when there will be a SW update for the emulator.

Verizon / TIVO Interactive Short Film

Another perfect TIVO Interactive Campaign! I just watched "Modem Boy" from Verizon Broadband films. This is the second sucessful TIVO interaction I have witness, where a Verizon commerical came on and requested that I press thumbs up for more info. It then brought me to a menu where I could select to view the short film and or view information about the shorts directors.

Modem boy was little like the "bring on the fast" ... a flash video campaign that Verizon did a while ago, but served my viewing pleasure well.

Jeep ... launches mobile channel with MobiTV. The channel will run 24 hours a day on MobiTV and will cycle through their latest web - video campaign ... The Mudds.

Likes: Flash Development ( web based ) and the idea of viewing the webisodes on MobiTV is cool.

Dislikes: Poor humor with no punchlines or hooks, the Flash FLV video was not compressed well for on DSL / T1 connections.

Overall I think it is a great step for brands to dive into Mobile 3GPP or Mpeg video. I would like to see better content .. but thats just me.

Butler Shine //

So Bogusky follows Kerri Martin to VW and Butler Shine lands Mini? Nice score for Butler Shine ( 24 Mill account ). I loved what Bogusky did in Miami with the mini branding. It still holds true ... I would never be caught driving one. Anyways ... you can read more here ...

Device Thoughts //

The reason it is taking so long for 3gpp video, true MMS, high end multi player games and more ... is the carriers are offering "FREE" devices. These so called giveaways are not in fact giveaways. They lock you into a 2 year contract with a phone the carriers are dying to get rid of. Its simple. You get what you pay for.

Now some argue with why would you want a camera, mp3 player, email, broadcast tv, a personal organizer, and more in a mobile device? Some people think they just want a plain phone. Remember the good old days with cords!

Well lets do the math ... you want to carry 5 different devices, plus a phone with you when you go on vacations? Argue your way out of that one as you fill your fanny pack with electronics.

Technology is meant to simplify our life's so we can do more, communicate more, experience more. No its not to say every one needs headphones on and a crazy Bluetooth device sticking out of their head, but I am over the fact that I am living in a technology driven era. One that will in fact prevail to simplify our complex lifestyles.

Ampd Mobile

Did any one catch the Ampd Mobile 30 sec spot last night? It was on MTV and I am trying to find out who produced it. It was kind of funny, but did not generate any relationship with their service and or brand. I love how they are building themselves up but I would like to see more than just promises. Plus pre-paid phones are not a way to go in my book. I want to bundle my own device, not some cracker jack kyocera.

Found it!

Taxi - NYC did the ad and it is on adage.com.

Nice CG. I have not seen this hit broadcast but I suspect it is not new.
